Stockholm Go Community

Together with Peter Hellberg, I organized more than 20 community events for the Go Stockholm Meetup Group.
Many of our meetups used the unconference, or open space, format. Attendees created the agenda together, based on what they were interested in.
Presentations
In addition to organizing and facilitating meetups, I also did several presentations for the Swedish Go community.
- Serverless Go with Google Cloud, at Go Stockholm Meetup, 2019
- Testing techniques in Go, at the Go meetup groups in Stockholm, Göteborg, and Malmö
- Drawing sticker-friendly gophers, at Go Stockholm Meetup, 2017
- What’s coming in Go 1.8?, at Go Stockholm Meetup, 2017
- Introduction to Go kit, at Go Stockholm Meetup, 2016
- The Go programming language, at Google Technology User Group (GTUG), 2015
- Domain Driven Design in Go, at Go Stockholm Meetup, 2014
Workshops
I facilitated two workshops in Stockholm that gave women in tech an introduction to the Go programming language.
Go Stockholm Conference
On October 6, 2018, I organized Sweden’s first Go conference. 10 speakers and more than 120 attendees met up at the Google offices in Stockholm.
Although the event was free to attend, I managed to secure sponsorship from local companies to pay for travel for international speakers, as well as for the speaker dinner the night before.
Artwork
I used Adobe Illustrator and Inkscape to create sticker-friendly gopher artwork for the Go Stockholm Meetup Group as well as the Detroit Go Meetup
I also created gophers for various open source projects, such as Gophercises, GopherData, and Orbiter.
You can find my gopher illustrations in the GitHub repo.
